What does it cost to be the boss………A look at America’s 2014 expenses.

America is an amazing place to live, I thank God I was born here. Do you ever drive around and see the interstates and government buildings and wonder just how much it cost to keep this beautiful country running? Do you ever hear about the national debt and think you could fix it? Trust me fixing the debt would be much harder than you think, any federal programs you cut out would cause huge problems, ever see the butterfly effect? I personally think our leaders do a pretty good job, especially considering how generous America is with not only our own citizens but also the rest of the world. Below is a list of the major expenses of America, as you can see some agencies are actually profitable.

These numbers are stated in the billions, but how much exactly is that? In the American system one billion is 1,000,000,000 and a trillion is 1,000,000,000,000 (that’s right, 12 zeros) so one trillion is one thousand times one billion. Have you ever had trouble making ends meet earning $10.00 and hour? Now imagine being responsible for paying trillions of dollars every year all while ensuring the security of the American people.
